UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential.
Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone.
Mozambique is one of Africa’s fastest developing countries with a large population of children and young people. Together with the Government of Mozambique and our partners, UNICEF works to promote and protect the rights of children and women, especially those most at risk and facing multiple challenges. We are fully committed to guarantee the survival, development, protection and participation of Mozambican children.

UNICEF Strategic Plan 2018-2021 indicates that ‘quality data, research and evaluation are the foundation for all UNICEF programming.’ Moreover, the new UNICEF Evaluation policy 2018 places a greater emphasis on learning, utilization and sharing of evidence. Aligned with these priorities, the Mozambique CO is committed to generating, synthesizing and promoting the use of evaluations, research and data about children to catalyze change for children in a country where over a half of children population lives in deep and multi-faceted poverty.
You will be responsible for developing and supporting UNICEF Mozambique CO as “one stop knowledge center on children in Mozambique” – facilitate, coordinate, and implement knowledge management strategies which include knowledge sharing, evidence and data driven information management, synthesis of evidence and documenting lessons learned, and capacity development.
